Burger Patty Making Short Course: Master Burger HQ Partners With Rumah Sahabat & Selangor Youth Community

On 14 July 2026, Master Burger HQ proudly took part in the Burger Patty Making Short Course, a collaborative program with [Selangor Youth Community (SAY)](https://selangoryouth.com/) and Rumah Sahabat Hulu Langat. The program gave young participants hands-on exposure to quality burger patty production techniques, while opening the door to entrepreneurial skills they can apply in real life.

For Master Burger HQ, a program like this is a natural extension of what we do every day: producing quality burger patties. This time, however,, we shared that knowledge directly with young people interested in building their own career or business in the food industry.

About the Program

This burger patty making course was designed as more than just a cooking workshop. It was built as a complete life skills and entrepreneurship learning platform. The program had three core objectives:

1. Exposure to basic technique: introducing participants to how to prepare and produce burger patties that are quality, safe, and meet food hygiene standards.
2. Practical skills as a life skill: enabling participants to produce burger patties systematically, a skill they can use for personal needs or as a starting point for a small business.
3. Basic business fundamentals: providing a brief understanding of cost management, branding, and marketing for burger patty products, so participants understand not just how to make the product, but how to turn it into an income stream.

What Participants Learned

Throughout the program, participants were introduced to several key aspects of commercial burger patty production:

• Basic preparation technique: ingredient selection, content ratio, and how to shape a consistent patty
• Food hygiene standards: safe food handling practice, from raw material to finished product
• Simple cost management: understanding ingredient cost and how to calculate a fair selling price
• Product branding: the basics of building a product identity that attracts customers
• Basic marketing: how to introduce a product to potential customers, including through social media

The approach was deliberately structured so participants walk away not just with a cooking skill, but with a clear picture of how that skill can become the foundation for their own burger entrepreneurship program down the line.

Why Master Burger HQ Takes Part in Programs Like This

Since starting operations as a self-run burger patty processing factory in 2012, Master Burger HQ has built over 50 franchise branches across Malaysia, many of them started by entrepreneurs who began from nothing. We believe sharing practical knowledge with young people is one of the best ways to keep supporting Malaysia's food entrepreneurship ecosystem, especially for those who may not have easy access to this kind of training.

Partnering with Selangor Youth Community and Rumah Sahabat Hulu Langat gave us the opportunity to deliver this knowledge directly to the right audience, young people interested in building new skills and potentially taking their first steps into entrepreneurship.
